Remarkably, among the total 30 BRAF mutations found in melanomas (30/62, 48%), we detected 6 complex mutations (1 p.V600E2, c.1799_1800TG > AA and 5 pV600K, c.1798_1799TG > AA), 20% (6/30) of the BRAF mutations, showing that the frequency of these events is not low. The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is melanoma.
