In this regard, AKT2 upregulation has been shown to be associated with malignant transformation and EMT in CRC.32 AKT2 amplification is responsible for decreased apoptosis, increased survival, migration, invasion and metastasis in CRC.20 An important finding of our study was the inverse expression pattern of AKT2 and E-cadherin in human colorectal carcinomas. Here, AKT2 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
