To determine if KLF4 expression can be induced in Burkitt lymphoma cells treated with agents that activate the lytic form of EBV infection, Burkitt cells were treated with a variety of different lytic-inducing agents, including anti-IgG (which induces B-cell receptor activation), 5-aza-2’-deoxycytidine (a demethylating agent) and TGF-β. This evidence concerns the gene KLF4 and Epstein-Barr virus infection.
