As noticed from Fig 3, induction of hyper-or hypothyroidism augmented the level of MDA (34.5% and 44.2%, respectively) and NO (25% and 17.1%, respectively); but suppressed the activity of CAT (23.5% and 47.8%, respectively), SOD (32.1% and 26.1%, respectively), GPx (35.4% and 24.5%, respectively) and GR (35.7% and 22.2%, respectively), as well as the level of GSH (37.6% and 22.2%, respectively), with respect to the normal control group. The gene discussed is GSR; the disease is hypothyroidism.
