Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) are pancreatic precancerous lesions composed of dilated main and branch ducts and mixed duct type (main and branch ducts are both involved) lined by mucin producing atypical epithelium, which usually proliferates in a papillary fashion [1]. Here, MUC5AC is linked to pancreatic intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm.
