The activating mutations of ERBB2 have been previously observed in many types of cancers such as lung, breast, and colon cancer [89]. ERBB2 mutations have been correlated with tumor progression as shown in the erbB-2/neu transformed rat cholangiocytes that exhibit similar phenotypes as found in human CCA [90]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
