Interestingly, this gene network also interacted with an important asthma susceptibility gene, ORMDL37,42–44, and two of its homologs, ORMDL1 and ORMDL2. Genetic interactions exist between ORMDL3 and GNA12, and between OASL and ORMDL2, suggesting that these genes interact within a cellular network (Fig. 4, green lines) 45. The gene discussed is OASL; the disease is asthma.
