TAGLN and breast neoplasm: In support of our results, TAGLN probes were significantly hypermethylated in breast tumors (NAMS ± SEM = 72.88 ± 0.9137, n = 338) compared to normal tissues (NAMS ± SEM = 42.49 ± 1.541, n = 33, P < 0.0001, Fig. 4a), even though the CpG dinucleotides corresponding to the probes were not covered by our bisulfite primers.
