Elevated YAP expression and nuclear localization have been observed in multiple types of human cancers, including liver cancer, colon cancer, epithelial ovarian cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer (Overholtzer et al, 2006; Zender et al, 2006; Dong et al, 2007; Yuan et al, 2008; Zhang et al, 2009; Hall et al, 2010; Jemal et al, 2011; Hergovich, 2012; He et al, 2015). This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and prostate cancer.
