In primary human AML blasts (AML-PB001F), Tim-3 agonistic antibody as well as galectin-9 (one of the natural ligands of Tim-3) induced activation of the mTOR pathway (by mTOR-dependent phosphorylation of p70 S6 kinase 1 (p70 S6K1) and eIF4E-binding protein-1 (eIF4E-BP1)). Here, MTOR is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
