Indeed, by analyzing 31 B-CLL patients, we observed a consistent variability in the regulatory role of molecules belonging to the rho-module of integrin activation, and this allowed grouping the patients in two categories, characterized by not conserved roles of signaling molecules regulating LFA-1 activation by the CXC chemokine CXCL12 [13]. This evidence concerns the gene RHO and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
