Importantly, the increased expression of ADAM12L (0.8±0.9 versus 1.2±1.1, p<0.05) and ADAM12S (0.7±0.9 versus 1±1.3, p<0.05) in breast samples was associated with the presence of metastases supporting evidences for the involvement of ADAM12 in human tumor aggressiveness (Fig 2B).
