In our own previous investigation, we identified PEAR1 rs12041331 as a strong determinant of collagen-stimulated platelet aggregation after dual anti-platelet therapy (DAPT) with aspirin and clopidogrel, as well as decreased 1-year survival in DAPT-treated patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention and increased rates of myocardial infarction (MI) in aspirin-treated patients with stable coronary artery disease [10]. This evidence concerns the gene PEAR1 and myocardial infarction.
