The mean Ki-67 was 43.5 ± 22.2 for all the tumours (range, 5–96), with a mean of 30.8 ± 14.1 for adenocarcinomas and 55.9 ± 21.8 for squamous cell carcinoma; the difference between tumour subtypes was significant (p < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and neoplasm.
