NFKB1 and pulmonary arterial hypertension: More recently, a study of inflammation and vascular remodeling in pulmonary hypertension induced by monocrotaline in adult rats [23] found a decrease of NF-κB and p38 MAKP with less inflammation and vascular remodeling in the group treated with MAG-DPA (docosapentaenoic acid monoacylglycerid), a metabolite of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), compared to the control group.
