Given that adhesion of tumor cells to extra-cellular matrix and basement membranes are considered to be the initial step in the invasive process for metastatic tumor cells, NSCLC cells transfected with miR-125b mimics were examined for their adhesion activities to the substrates precoated with fibronectin, which is a basement member component. The gene discussed is FN1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
