Suh et al. conducted a study between adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) and the VDR FokI (rs2228670), BsmI (rs1544410), and Cdx2 (rs11568820) gene polymorphisms and found association between the VDR BsmI polymorphism and bone mineral density at the lumbar spine in girls with AIS [8]. Here, CDX2 is linked to androgen insensitivity syndrome.
