Suh et al. conducted a study between adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) and the VDR FokI (rs2228670), BsmI (rs1544410), and Cdx2 (rs11568820) gene polymorphisms and found association between the VDR BsmI polymorphism and bone mineral density at the lumbar spine in girls with AIS [8]. This evidence concerns the gene VDR and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.
