PSEN1 and Alzheimer disease: More striking, asymptomatic subjects with AD-linked autosomal dominant PSEN1 mutations show decreased activity of the precuneus/posterior cingulate and parietal cortex in resting state (Chhatwal et al., 2013), but increased activity of the frontal, parietal and prefrontal cortex during memory encoding (Wishart et al., 2006; Reiman et al., 2012).
