PTEN and infection: As expected, H. pylori (multiplicity of infection [MOI] = 50 for 1h) resulted in significant increases in the phosphorylation of PTEN, Akt, and Bad in the stable cell line expressing the wild-type PTEN, similar to that observed in GES-1 cells and a stable cell line expressing an empty vector (all ps < 0.05) (Figure 5).
