In multivariate model, older age (per 10 year increment, OR 1.4, 95% CI 1.15–1.61, p<0.001), lower CD4 count (per 100 /μL decrement, OR 1.7, 95% CI 1.36–2.13, p<0.001), and higher HIV-1 load (per 1 log10copies/mL, OR 1.6, 95% CI 1.20–2.06, p = 0.001) were significantly associated with HIV retinopathy, whereas presence of ocular symptoms and history of AIDS showed a trend toward association that was not statistically significant (Table 4).
