With the exception of the recent discovery of translocations and fusion oncogenes in salivary gland tumours, a few studies have reported that genetic alterations in genes such as EGFR, KIT, BRAF, CCND1, HRAS, KRAS, NRAS, PIK3CA, and PDGFRA occur in malignant salivary gland tumours at a lower frequency [4–16]. This evidence concerns the gene NRAS and tumor of salivary gland.
