Francesca et al. [25] reported that PASK-modulated glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in a CD1 mouse model, HEK293T cells, and 18 young onset diabetic probands (three probands: diabetes diagnosed before age 30, no requirement of exogenous insulin in the two first years and an autosomal dominant inheritance of type 2 diabetes) of French families. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
