Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) plays a critical role in the immunological disturbances observed in AD, and NF-κB decoy oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) have been reported to ameliorate atopic skin lesions in NC/Nga mice with fewer side effects than corticosteroids [3,4,5]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Alzheimer disease.
