Overexpression of MiR-125b in Hela cervical cancer cells induced apoptosis and downregulated the expression of PIK3CD and Phospho-AKT [31]; Kang et al. found that thioridazine induces apoptosis by targeting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway in cervical cancer cells [32]; Thanaketpaisarn et al. found that Artesunate enhanced TRAIL-induced apoptosis in human cervical carcinoma cells through inhibition of the PI3K/AKT and NF-κB signaling pathways [33]; Wang et al. found that Stathmin is involved in arsenic trioxide-induced apoptosis in human cervical cancer cell lines via PI3K linked signal pathway. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and cervical cancer.
