In a subsequent study within the same cohort, some other genes implicated in growth and metabolic disorders, such as ATP-binding cassette transporter 1 (ABCA1), paternally expressed antisense transcript of the G-protein alpha subunit complex locus (GNASAS), insulin/insulin-like growth factor (INSIGF), interleukin 10 (IL10), leptin (LEP), and maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3), had differential levels of DNA methylation in exposed and unexposed siblings [78]. This evidence concerns the gene ABCA1 and metabolic disease.
