BRAF and cancer: Inhibition of glutaminolysis can suppress the growth of Burkitt's lymphoma and other cancers driven by MYC (Le et al., 2012; Wise et al., 2008; Xiang et al., 2015), and here we show that BRAF inhibitor resistant melanoma cells are also more sensitive to glutaminase inhibition, suggesting that glutaminase may also be a therapeutic target in the resistant tumors.
