Recent studies have shown that BRAF regulates metabolism (Corazao‐Rozas et al., 2013; Hall et al., 2013; Parmenter et al., 2014) and our results here show that a subset of melanoma cells that develop resistance to BRAF inhibitors switch from a glycolytic to oxidative phenotype and use glutamine as a major carbon source. This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and melanoma.
