Interestingly, the leukemic cells in two primary BCP ALL samples, one of which (LAX40) was characterized by a Myc translocation more commonly seen in Burkitt lymphoma, did not contain significant constitutive levels of pErk1/2, nor was pErk1/2 inducible when the cells were stimulated with serum. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
