Specifically, the standard mean differences of hsCRP, fibrinogen, and IL-6 were, respectively, 7.17, 7.79, and 1.37 times higher in the IgA compared to the IgG analysis, thus showing that seropositivity to C. pneumoniae IgA might better correlate to a chronic inflammatory state in patients with atherosclerosis.
