Interestingly, an electrochemical immunosensing platform has been developed for the detection of the human lung cancer-associated antigen ENO1, by first fabricating a polyethylene glycol (PEG) layer on a screen printed electrode and subsequently using anti-ENO1-tagged AuNPs congregate bioprobes as signal amplifiers to improve the sensitivity of the assay. The gene discussed is ENO1; the disease is lung carcinoma.
