In some previous studies, ROS was been recognized as mediator of neutrophil death[22, 31], however, when treated the neutrophils from CGD mouse in which the gp91 subunit of NADPH oxidase was deleted[32]in acid and neutral medium, the survival difference was much smaller than wild type(S3 Fig), which suggested ROS may be one of reasons for the apoptosis delaying in acid environment, but not the only reason. The gene discussed is FMO5; the disease is chronic granulomatous disease.
