We found that the majority of tumor tissue samples expressed a higher level of IGF2BP3 than the corresponding adjacent non-cancerous tissue samples at both the mRNA (Figure 5A) and protein levels (Figure 5B) (Supplementary Figure S3), suggesting that a high level of IGF2BP3 expression is a predictor of poor prognosis in HCC patients. This evidence concerns the gene IGF2BP3 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
