Type I collagen depositions were present in the analyzed glomerular diseases and there was a positive correlation with the expression of the DSPG decorin, TGF-β and the specific 4/2,4-di-O-sulfated DS domain recognized by LKN1, which indicates that the specific 4/2,4-di-O-sulfated DS domain plays different pathophysiological roles in renal allograft rejection and glomerular diseases. This evidence concerns the gene DCN and glomerular disorder.
