As IGFBP2 has been shown to play pivotal roles in tumorigenesis, progression and chemoresistance in many organ systems and is a known modulator of two key activated signaling pathways in esophageal cancer [22–40], we examined its role in EAC progression and chemoresistance and its utility as a potential target for treatment of chemoresistant patients. This evidence concerns the gene IGFBP2 and esophageal cancer.
