In comparison to the other three subgroups, participants with diabetes and obesity (T2DM-OB) had a higher levels of BMI,WHR, SBP,DBP, FINS, HOMA-IR, TG and IL-6 (all P<0.01), whereas HOMA-β was significantly decreased (P<0.05 or 0.01), indicating that both diabetes and obesity affected the metabolization-related biomarkers and inflammation. Here, IL6 is linked to diabetes mellitus.
