To verify this speculation, we applied SALL4 siRNA to knock down the expression of SALL4 in ICC cells, and found that siRNA-induced SALL4 inhibition significantly suppressed ICC cell proliferation, migration and invasion, accompanied with increased E-cadherin expression as well as downregulation of N-cadherin, indicating an inhibition of EMT. The gene discussed is CDH2; the disease is intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
