The differential expression of HuR between neoplastic and normal tissues (i.e. a more available target in cancer cells vs. normal cells), combined with HuR’s induction of numerous pro-tumorigenic transcripts over multiple defined PDA core signaling pathways, supports the hypothesis that HuR is a promising, novel therapeutic target in PDA [3, 20].
