In HF patients with normal kidney function (eGFR>60 mL/min/1.73m2, n = 74), the median 1,25(OH)2D level was 31.5 pg/mL, which remains clearly lower than the median of healthy individuals (49.6 pg/mL, data not shown); in this group of patients the 1,25(OH)2D to PTH(1–84) ratios remain significantly correlated to BNP, NT-proBNP, CgA, Gal-3 and FGF-23, while 1,25(OH)2D is not significantly correlated to NT-pro-BNP in patients with eGFR>60 mL/min/1.73m2. The gene discussed is NPPB; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
