Interestingly, recent studies provided evidences that Anxa2 is involved in EGFR signaling [3, 16, 32], and blocking AnxA2 function or knockdown of Anxa2 expression inhibits the activation of the EGFR downstream pathway and reduces cell migration in breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 [33]. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA2 and breast carcinoma.
