Liver cancer has been linked with several Table 3 proteins [46–48], including tryptophan-tRNA ligase, phospholipase D3, ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 N, beta-hexosaminidase beta subunit, macrophage-capping protein, Rab GDP dissociation inhibitor, multifunctional protein ADE2, melanocyte protein PMEL, long-chain-fatty-acid-CoA ligase 1, eukaryotic initiation factor 4A-1, cathepsin D and pyruvate kinase PKM (Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer). This evidence concerns the gene PMEL and liver cancer.
