FO supplementation also increased the protein expression of p53 by 29 % (W 0.86 ± 0.04 vs. WFO 1.11 ± 0.04 vs. WCO 0.91. ± 0.04) (p < 0.05) (Fig. 3), cleaved caspase-7 by 21.4 % (W 0.98 ± 0.01 vs. WFO 1.19 ± 0.03 vs. WCO 0.99 ± 0.03) (p < 0.05) (Fig. 4) and cleaved caspase-3 by 26 % (W 0.92 ± 0.02 vs. WOP 1.16 ± 0.04 vs. WCO 0.94 ± 0.02) (p < 0.05) (Fig. 5) in tumor tissue when compared with W and WCO. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and neoplasm.
