Among the top 5 up-regulated novel genes (Table 2), we report Wdr37 (ACR7 = 1.83 fold, RUN7 = 2.06 fold), Armc8 (ACR7 = 1.79 fold, RUN7 = 1.98 fold), and Phactr1 (ACR7 = 1.77 fold, RUN7 = 1.71 fold), so far known respectively for their role in kidney function and chronic kidney disease [41]; carcinogenesis [42]; and for promoting capillary tube formation in endothelial cells [43]. The gene discussed is PHACTR1; the disease is chronic kidney disease.
