In vivo, the level of TET2 exon 2 expression was significantly lower in the 152 AML cases tested compared to the 37 control bone marrow samples derived from healthy donors (Figure 4B, p < 10−4, Mann-Whitney test) and this change occurred in the absence of significant alterations in TET2 exon 10 expression (Figure 4B). The gene discussed is TET2; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
