Hypoxia increased the expressionof HIF-1α and HIF-2α in MCF-7 breast cancer cells, whereas treatment with R. algida extract (225 and 360 μg/mL) possibly decreased HIF-1α and HIF-2α protein expression in cells exposed to hypoxia for 48 h (Fig. 5, a–c).
