The lacunar group had lower t-PA levels compared with the cortical group (7.39 vs. 8.59 ng/ml, p = 0.029) in unadjusted analyses (table 1) and after adjustment for age, sex, hypertension, smoking, diabetes and atrial fibrillation (p = 0.035; table 2). This evidence concerns the gene PLAT and hypertensive disorder.
