MLH1 and ovarian cancer: Considering that -93G>A polymorphism could be associated with risk of ovarian cancer, two luciferase reporter constructs (pGL3-hMLH1-G-allele and pGL3-hMLH1-A-allele) were used to transiently transfect 293T cells to directly determine the effects of the -93G>A polymorphism on the transcriptional activity of the hMLH1 promoter.
