We analyzed galectin-3 expression in CM-P3 or CM-P30 with quantitative PCR (Q-PCR) and ELISA, and found that both mRNA and protein levels of galectin-3 were significantly upregulated in the AD-MSCs during senescence (Fig. 3a-b), suggesting that galectin-3 may have been involved in the P30-MSC–mediated growth stimulation of LoVo cells. Here, LGALS3 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
