CREB1 and Anxiety: In summary, the Y358C reduced-function PDE4B mutant resulted in increasedphosphorylation of CREB, decreased binding of PDE4B to DISC1, and upregulation ofDISC1 and β-Arrestin in the hippocampus and amygdala.PDE4BY358C/Y358C mice displayed a phenotype of decreased anxiety, increased exploration, and cognitive enhancement across several tests of learning andmemory, in parallel with hippocampal synaptic changes including enhanced LTP,impaired depotentiation, and enhanced neurogenesis.
