CXCL8 and ovarian cancer: Since IKK inhibition by Bay 117085 reduced the BZ-induced IL-8 expression in ovarian cancer cells in vitro (Figure 2), and since BZ/Bay 117085 combination therapy resulted in the slowest tumor growth in vivo (Figure 3), we reasoned that the combination BZ/Bay 117085 therapy might be associated with the reduced IL-8 expression in implanted ovarian cancer xenografts.
