We identified human KMT2A, KMT2B, and KMT2D (Figure 5—source data 1), the family of MLL histone methyltransferases known to be mutated and/or part of fusion proteins, as the result of chromosomal translocations in leukemia (Liedtke and Cleary, 2009; Smith et al., 2011). This evidence concerns the gene KMT2B and leukemia.
