Compared with the LF and MF groups, the higher mRNA expression of the genes related to exogenous FA uptake (CD36 and LPL) (Fig.5A), glycerol synthesis (PEPCK1) (Fig.5B), and TG synthesis (DGAT) (Fig.5C) in the HF group clearly indicated that adipose tissue could efficiently uptake excess exogenous FFA and store it in the form of TG. The gene discussed is LPL; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
